Smith Warner International Ltd. founded
in 1995, is the largest Caribbean firm specializing in Coastal
Engineering, Coastal Zone Management and Oceanography. Our directors,
Dr. David A.Y. Smith and Mr. Philip Warner, have, collectively,
over 37 years experience in these fields, and have undertaken
projects in North America, the Far East, Africa, the Arctic and
the Caribbean.
In addition to the directors, our professional team at SWI is
comprised of postgraduate trained coastal engineers, graduate
engineers, and a Coastal Environmental Management Specialist.
Our services include: data collection and analysis; computer modeling
of coastal and hydrodynamic phenomena; design; coastal/marine
environmental impact assessment; coastal zone management planning;
construction supervision; and post-construction project monitoring.
Our association with a network of Caribbean professionals also
enables us to offer our clients a wider range of project driven
services.
Our commitment to the Caribbean is evidenced by a strong regional
focus and sensitivity. We have carried out projects in almost
all of the English-speaking Caribbean as well as the Dominican
Republic and Belize. Our clients range from Caribbean Governments
to private sector consortia such as the Port St. Charles Marina

to multi-lateral funding agencies such as the Inter-American Development
Bank (IDB) and the Unites States Agency for International Development
(USAID). Our main client areas include the tourism sector and
the oil and gas exploration and production sector.
