Half Moon, Montego Bay Jamaica

In order to stabilize and enhance an eroding 400m stretch of Half Moon’s beach, a series of nearshore breakwaters was designed for the site. The breakwaters were designed to sustain artificial beach nourishment and to encourage natural accretion of sand on the beach. The project was carried out on a compressed time schedule to limit disturbance to the guests of the hotel.
