Coastal and Marina Development Ltd.
After many years of construction site supervision and tender evaluation, it was clear that many contractors in the region lacked the expertise to construct our designs the way we needed them to be built –aesthetically pleasing and technically sound. We took this as our cue and formed a subsidiary company, Coastal and Marina Development Ltd. (COMAR). COMAR builds things designed by us – the way we as engineers mean for it to be built.
COMAR leans on the many years of expertise that exist among the principals of Smith Warner International Ltd. and its focus is on our core strengths: beaches, waterfront developments, shoreline defense facilities and the structures that make them. These include:
- Breakwaters;
- Revetments;
- Groynes;
- Nearshore dredging;
- Sand nourishment;
- Jetties; and
- Marina basin excavation
COMAR has successfully completed several projects in Jamaica and St. Lucia and because of our experience in and knowledge of the local conditions, our service is transferable to any project within the Caribbean.
Our goal is to provide value to our clients – from concept sketch through to the final nail in the decking.
