In 2008, Smith Warner was contracted to supervise the coastal protection and beach enhancement construction works being carried out by Ashtrom on behalf of Secrets Hotel development on the Seawind peninsula. The findings and recommendations towards the final completion of the project were presented after the onsite assessment of January 2010. It was found that the beach had undergone
changes, such as adjustment of the beach slope and movement of sand around each beach, in response to swell events.
Smith Warner International was commissioned to carry out a fine-tuning design of the beach at the Secrets Resort, in order to halt the on-going erosion that has occurred along primarily two of the hotel’s four beaches, on the Seawind peninsula.
