Smith Warner International Ltd., in association with Brisbane Consultants (Oversees) Ltd. and Maya Blue Ltd., was contracted to carry out a baseline study for the proposed Paradise Found Development in Barbuda. This work was carried out from July to December 2016. The work involved extensive baseline environmental data collection and analysis, the output of which was fed into the master planning of the project.
The work identified existing and potential environmental sensitivities, physical vulnerabilities and opportunities for environmental improvement and site protection through design optimisation to ensure a sustainable, and environmentally aligned development. Various scientific methodologies (including a geophysical survey) have been applied to obtain a comprehensive understanding of these principal attributes, their qualitative and quantitative status, and inherent sensitivities.
